Brown & Brown of Lehigh Valley can offer protection for individuals at any stage of their life; from the renter, to first time home buyers, to the highly successful individuals. In addition to your primary residence, we are able to insure any rentals, seasonal, secondary, international, and coastal properties you may own. We insure properties to their full replacement value which is designed to make you whole in the event of a total loss. Some providers offer guaranteed replacement value or a cash-out option if you choose not to rebuild. Additional coverages such as sinkhole, water back-up, personal injury, flood, and identity fraud can often be overlooked. Certain type of losses are not automatically insured against under the basic homeowner form and need to be endorsed on the policy. Unfortunately, customers usually find that out when it comes time to submit a claim.
Did you know the things you are passionate about collecting may need to be insured on a separate policy? Sometimes your homeowner’s insurance isn’t enough. Limits on certain types of collections are built in to the homeowner policy, and we can recognize the difference. Some examples of collections include, but are not limited to jewelry, furs, fine arts, coins, stamps, firearms, wine, and collector vehicles. These items can be insured for their agreed value ensuring no depreciation is factored in if a loss occurs.
Our automobile products feature coverages such as new car replacement, loan/lease coverage, deductible waivers, diminishing deductible, first accident forgiveness, and agreed value. Some of our carriers allow credits for occupation, education, good student, driver training, and more.
Personal Excess Liability
Have you ever asked yourself how much of your net worth are you willing to leave exposed? We have the capability to provide liability protection to protect you and your assets in the event of a lawsuit. Most policies allow a maximum liability limit of $500,000. In today’s society that is not nearly enough. The personal excess liability policies start at $1,000,000, and can range as high as $100,000,000 depending on the carrier.
A Personal Umbrella Policy provides additional limits of liability to protect against a catastrophic liability loss. It provides liability coverage that stacks on top of the primary liability coverage provided by a homeowner’s policy, personal auto policy, watercraft policy, and any other scheduled underlying liability policy. It provides coverage for bodily injury, property damage, and personal injury (libel, slander, false arrest, invasion of privacy, etc.). A personal umbrella policy may also fill some gaps in coverage over a specified deductible in the underlying policy.
Most customers own some type of recreational vehicle that is uninsured. Types of vehicles may include snowmobiles, ATVs, jet skis, motorcycles, motorhomes, and watercrafts. We can provide liability and physical damage coverage for these types of risks. We can also provide vacation liability for your travel trailer.
In addition to all of the physical possessions we can protect, we can also recommend a life insurance product that is right for you. Products include term, whole, and universal life. An advantage to placing all of your coverage with one insurance agency is that we get to know you and all of your insurance needs. Our advisors specialize in recognizing when you have outgrown your current policy and it’s time for a change. Together they can work with any other advisor in your life such as financial advisors, family offices, and attorneys to make sure you are protected from all angles.
